Training from Disaster Distress Helpline

Per the Networker:

The Disaster Distress Helpline will be hosting an introductory webinar for AIRS members. The Helpline is the nation's first toll-free hotline service dedicated to providing disaster crisis counseling 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Thursday, February 28th from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST
Description: Joe Samalin, Outreach and Training Manager of the Disaster Distress Helpline, will give an introduction and overview of SAMHSA's Disaster Distress Helpline and discussion on how the Helpline can best work with and support AIRS members before, during and after disasters.

Instructions to join the webinar:
  1. To participate in the webinar on Thursday February 28th from 2:00 pm (EST) - 3:00 pm, log-in to: http://connectpro65685776.adobeconnect.com/ddhintro/
  2. When the Adobe Connect Log-in screen appears, select "Enter as a Guest," enter your name in the "Name" field and click on "Enter Room."
  3. Call-in for the audio portion by dialing 1-866-316-1519 and enter passcode 6334429#. Note: using a landline will provide the best audio connection, versus using a cell phone or computer for audio. We will ask that you keep your phone on 'mute' to reduce background noise and minimize audio distortions; the webinar will have a chat function for the Q&A portion of the webinar.
We highly recommend that you test your connection to Adobe Connect in advance of the webinar to ensure access. You may need to work with your organization's IT person to resolve any firewall issues. To test your connection, go to:http://connectpro65685776.acrobat.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm

You may be prompted to install ActiveX control, Adobe Flash Player, and Adobe Connect add-ins. If you encounter any difficulty testing your connection or logging into the webinar, please contact Adobe Connect Technical Support by calling 1-800-459-5680. If you have any questions about the webinar, please contact Joe Samalin (212-614-6386)
